Due to the severe winter conditions and the thickness of ice on the canal, our annual Icebreaker Cruise was cancelled. It was felt an unnecessary danger to both members and our boats to attempt to both board and sail our boats. Despite the snow and ice, some members made it to the Southbank Marina, Kirkintilloch and met together to eat, drink and be merry, |

| The Puffer "Maryhill" which is a two third size replica of a coastal puffer was sailed from Rothesay on the Isle of Bute to the Southbank Marina in Kirkintilloch to become an addition to the Society vessels. Maryhill will be appearing at vatious venues through the rest of the season. She will be kept in our moorings at the Kirkintilloch when not in use else where on the canal. |
